I anchored in the northern part of the bay with good holding and excellent protection.

There was one American boat in the anchorage that looked like it had been there for a while and was unattended. This would be a good place to leave your boat to explore elsewhere, or if you needed to fly home for a week or two.

Borrowed WiFi (WiFi)

A little bit naughty, but I borrowed the name of one of the boats in the marina, as I past, and used this to register and log in to the marina's free WiFi while I was in the anchorage.

I chose the name of a small boat that was unlikely to have WiFi capabilities onboard. I am sure that no harm was done.

Dinghy Dock Caution (Dockage)

When I dinghied ashore, I was careful to pick a narrow spot between two old wooden boats that looked unused, to tie and lock my dinghy. Bad idea!

When I returned from the supermarket after about 25 minutes I found that someone had lifted my dinghy, engine and all, onto the quay, and had docked their inflatable in it's place.

Since they could not unlock it, this was the only way to reclaim their spot.

Keeping my cool (they were bigger than me anyway), I simply asked if they had lifted my boat and would they help me relaunch it. We relaunched the dinghy in an open spot and parted on cordial terms.
