I first went bow-to with a stern anchor on the eastern wall of the Mandraki, and was later asked to move to the north wall, as the eastern wall is "unofficially" reserved for charter boats. Holding was good in both locations. Drop lots of chain, far enough from the dock to avoid the mooring chain 30m out from the dock.
It is wonderful to be docked in this ancient harbour, whose entrance, according to the seven wonders of the world, was once straddled by the huge statue of the
Colossus of Rhodes with one foot on either side of the harbour entrance.
There is electricity and water on the dock, but don't expect any fancy marina facilities. The marina office is down near the root of the wall. (+30) 22410 37101

There is a wonderful mini market near the root of the wall as well, selling just about everything one could need.
The facinating old town is a short walk away, and must not be missed. Try and find a map to avoid getting lost in the maze of beautiful ancient alleyways.
It is great to have breakfast in the market square in the western shore of the harbour.
