Quite a scary entrance between two shoals with breaking waves and only in favorable weather on a high tide. Recommended to call for a guide in a panga.

Anchor in about 17 feet in the lagoon in front of the hotel which is favorable to cruisers and offers substantial discounts on food and bar.

Navy and immigration will come out to your boat to check you in.

No port entry fees, just a $10 tourist visa.

Free anchorage. Moorings $5/day. Excellent restaurant, a bar, huge swimming pool, new showers, beautiful beach.

Good place to leave the boat.

Jose will take you in to San Salvador and be your chauffeur and guide for an entire day for a very reasonable fee. His phone number is 747-2104. Jose speaks good enough English and is very knowledgeable about the area.
