Jayne and I sailed Romadi from Antigua to the Isle of Eigg in Scotland.
It was a free delivery for the owner who had sailed to the Caribbean and was reluctant to make the return passage.
The boat's Stuart Turner gasoline engine only worked a few times during the whole trip.
We sailed from Antigua to Tortola and then Bermuda, Azores to Scotland for a total of 51 days at sea.
Jayne and I had only met a few weeks before, in English Harbour, Antigua.
When we were still enamoured with each other after 51 days at sea in a tiny 1949 wooden sailboat, we decided to return to Jayne's home town of Newport, RI and we were married shortly afterwards.
