After Robbie saved and old injured tarpon at his dock 30 years ago, the tarpon, by the name of Scarface has returned and brought hundreds of his huge friends.
You can buy fishfood at the dock and feed these facinating creatures.
They are not penned at all, and gather here of their own free will, and for the food of course.
They are packed so close together that you could almost walk across the water on their backs.
The restaurant here serves great hamburgers and seafood too. Tarpon is not on the menu.
A great place to stop near mile marker 77 on lower Matecumbe Key (just south of Islamorada) for lunch and break up the long journey to Key West.
