Portimao Anchorage (Anchorage)
This is a wonderful anchorage within the protection of the harbour breakwater and off the beach.
Easy dinghy ride to the beach or to the town.

Portimao Marina (Marina)
A nice , new marina with good facilities.
It is a bit of a slog from the slips to the marina office and bathrooms, but we used the dinghy over to the fuel dock to shorten the trip.
We docked in the marina for a few days while we removed our fuel injector pump for service in town.
Convenient to the beach, and the touristy strip along the oceanfront.

Touristy Beaches (Beach)
Portimao Secluded beach (Beach)
This beach is accessible from the adjacent tourist beach when the tide is low. Otherwise, only accessible by boat, or a precarious climb down the cliff on a rope.
We came out of the port in the dinghy, and it was just us and the seagulls on the beach. Nude Beach.
There is a magnificent sea cavern on the western side of the beach, with a chimney to the land above. There is a fence around the hole above to prevent one falling into the hole unexpectedly.
If you look at the photograph(bottom right), you can see the immense height of the cavern when you see Jayne, standing dwarfed, below.

Ferragudo
Ferragudo is a cozy little village opposite the Portimao marina.
Nice waterfront seafood restaurants and shops in the alleyways.
