Casa de Campo is a magnificent estate with marina, golf courses, polo fields, beaches, shops and restaurants.

La Romana (Excursion)
We arranged a taxi though the marina office and went to La Romana to run some errants and see the town.
The taxi took us several places and waited for us and cost USD$50 for about 2-1/2 hours.

Alto de Chavon (Excursion)
A little bit of old world Tuscany, cut and pasted into a dramatic setting high above the river. It is hard to believe you are in the Caribbean.
Lovely reconstructed village with magnificent views complete with a full size Greek or Roman theater that has been a venue to some big artist shows.
We had lunch at a fine restaurant overlooking the river.
